Belgians harvest relics of WWI battles

Thank you for posting this-while I was aware of ongoing battlefield salvage in Europe I had no idea of the sheer volume that was recovered from a single battlefield. It is also nice to know that said salvage is going for such a worthy cause.

    Blackadder

:offtopic: Heh, actually, I've rather enjoyed Hugh Laurie in everything I've seen. I actually like the "House" character-He's a skilled, competent and all too human a$$.

    Blackadder

While I loved all of the Blackadder series, and even the Christmas episode. I'd have to say I enjoyed the second and third seasons the best. Our PBS station plays at least one series every year.

    Pre distressing

Honestly; I will never understand why anyone would spend good money for "Pre-damaged" clothing. In my experience, most modern clothes quickly pick up that coveted "distressed" look all too quickly anyway.

    Anyone else tired of winter?!

Here in Harrisburg we're in the middle of a late season Nor'Easter-it's snowing at about an inch an hour and according to the news we may get up to 14 inches. Now, I'm usually a fan of snow, but just two days ago it was almost 80 degrees out and I was getting a touch of spring fever- this is a...

    Gentleman's Emporium

I'm none too sure about doing Victorian for everyday wear, but I'd have to say that I like the look of the cassock, it would make an excellent Autumn and winter coat.

Buy New, Vintage or Victorian Home?

My first home in NY was built in the early 1950s', it was a custom made Cape Cod style and no expence was spared to make it a quality home. I'd live in one like it again in a heartbeat. My family owns a wonderful Victorian house built in the early 1880's-The house has an air of style and...
