    21" long hair straight hair how do i get it to look 1940's 50's.

    I have really long hair that is poker straight, it barely curls even with rollers it falls out within hours. I use setting lotion, and have had ago at pin curls but it frizzes terribly especially at the ends.....what am i doing wrong. I love the full 5o's fringe like the one in the sticky on...
