My experience with the local RW store has been that they mostly cater to the tradesmen. I know ComEd gives uniform credit to their linemen, etc. and these folks will typically buy their work boots from the local store. Help me find a backpack!
Check out some of the backpacks by Mono Case. I own an M-80 gig bag for my bass and the Producer bag that I use for various A/V production gear. Both items are waterproof and extremely well made. You won't find a bag tougher, IMO. they ain't cheap but you'll get what you pay for...- geezer
