Got another pair of Florsheims with the old logo from the same thrift shop as the last pair. they are the 'Yale', they seem to be of a higher grade than the other pair, did florsheim ever have a line kind of like AE's independence line?, no idea of age and debating on keeping them or not, they...
cheers for that, Florsheim haven't got back to me anyway, I wasn't entirely sure on when Florsheim scrapped that logo, I sold a pair a while back from the early 90s which had completely different logos on the footbed and sole, the heel 'logo' is the same though. (very limited examples here in...
picked these up thrifting today, im guessing deadstock? are unworn and look like never been laced up, size 8 EEE which might be the reason why they are still kicking about. Going to confirm with Florsheim but going off the serial code im guessing 875 refers to August 1975. Shoes also still have...

wondering if anyone can help with this
obtained these shoes yesterday, pretty sure not vintage in anyway but they are well made! really fine stitching and scrubbed up a shine real quick. no sizing labelled anywhere and they are super narrow
have tried googling the maker with no luck. am...
My 30 dollar op shop suit, think it might be 80s but with the AE park avenues and a trilby i think it pulls off a 60's look pretty damn alright, very heavy suit but it was a -4 degree morning here so worked out well.
construction wasnt as great as i was hoping, especially given they were my first new pair of AE's but comfy and certainly turn heads, especially here in Canberra, a very boring capital
heres the whole collection so far, working on getting shoe trees for all
newly acquired Florsheims, AE park Avenues, AE Nuemok Webgems, AE Mcallisters ( made in early 70's)
Got given a pair of Florsheims from a work collegue, not new but i dont think quite vintage but still pretty awesome for a freebie, from the sole they look like they have only been worn a few times, the Florsheim logo on the heel is perfect and the sole as a stamp saying genuine leather made by...
added a pair of park avenues (second hand) the collection is slowly growing, still need shoe trees. This shot was just before both pairs got a good polish, the avenues came up mirror finish the mcallisters not so great. The mcallisters have some age to them have the ostendo cushioned inner sole...
hey guys just bought my first overcoat, its german, very long almost down to my ankles. It appears to be very well made has brown leather edging at the end of the sleeves and along the edge of the pockets, it has two very large low pockets aswell as an angled smaller pocket higher up on the left...
The Balvenie single malt scotch, 12 years double casked first whiskey oak then sherry oak in a rocks glass with whiskey stones as not to dilute it, I may be young but I certainly didnt go down that 'mix everything with coke' path
emailed AE, they cant be recrafted because those nails have peirced the inner sole, also they are 30-35 years old..... couple of steps closer to vintage
