My Campdraft Deluxe is now nearly 3 years old and it has been on my head almost every day having its fair share of abuse, sweat and rain. The hat has not shrinked at all and I must use just as much badding in it as when it was new. My CD has very thick sweat band, much thicker than my new Fed IV... -

Thank You for your kind words gentlemen! I tried to get the "spirit of Indy" on my Fed4 and it´s getting there :) The crown took the shape quite easily but the brim is giving me a hard time... Absolutely great hats you all got! Especially I like Alans rainy day hat! -

My new Akubra Fed 4 Deluxe Dark Brown just arrived today. I put a quick dry bash on it took some pictures of it. For some reason colors on these pictures are just wrong... I´m going to finish the bash with some steam or water later. -

Short brim vs. wide brim fedora
Anything less than 2 1/2" just looks wrong on me, I think. My big face needs wide brim and tall crown to not look ridiculous. -

I love the Fed IV!!
Strange. My Campdraft Deluxe fits exactly the same after creasing as it did before creasing. No snugging to be detected. But maybe the standard version shrinks more easily? -

My head is quite tall so that it very easily touches the top of the crown when I wear a hat. That means that I easily run out of felt when creasing my hat. Even a senter dent tends to get too low and a C -rown / teardrop has to have very tall "teardrop". My Akubra Campdraft has tall enough crown...
