    Sorry to necro, but.... I have an Irvin repro that is about 10yrs old. I'm going to treat it with leather honey or pecards. I'm also going to do a hot soak to try and shrink the fleece and lighten the fleece color, but was wondering which should happen first. I think the conditioner first...

    So it sounds like some people simply soak it in warm water, then let it air dry naturally with no heat. Others use a washing machine? Neither of these will cause shrinkage in the sizing correct? Anyone use Bickmore leather conditioner? Ty -GB

    Also, Doesn't the petroleum in pecards break down the leather? What about smell? I used Obenaufs on some leather a year ago and it still smells bad. Isn't there anything natural that won't hurt the leather or stink it up?
