So sorry to hear that she went down.
Luckily everyone was OK.
I'm sure glad I got a chance to go up in her.

Wow, Everyone has such beautiful and unique homes in this thread.
I thought I would add our labor of love.
She's a 1936 Southern California Spanish Style Home
Home Tiki Bar
I thought you all might get a kick out of the latest addition to the "Waikiki Womb" my home Tiki Room.
This is the small intimate bar area I built up in what was the original home owner's darkroom from the 1930s that is off from the larger Tiki Room.
The bar is entered through...
A friend sent me the recipe for his "Fateful Trip"
so I broke out the Lancaster and we threw in Season Two and are kicking back in the Tiki room for the evening.
THE FATEFUL TRIP
3/4 oz. Lime Juice
3/4 oz. Lemon Juice
1/2 oz. Bar Syrup
1/4 oz. Orgeat Syrup (we used homemade Orgeat)...
La Descarga's is a newly opened rum bar in Hollywood... walk in and step back in time to old Havana.

Looks like a field trip is in order.
I like it. Not really a Spice Rum like Sailor Jerry. More subtle spices.
It makes a great substitute for any drink that calls for Cruzan black strap rum or Goslings dark Rum.
I use it in my dark and stormys.
They were the best!
I found this one when they were being replaced in the Biltmore and put it down in the Tiki Room.
Lights, fan and payphone still work.
Everyone loves making a call from it.
Now if you be lookin' for a proper Irish drink why not a little Irish moonshine?
Poitin straight up is quite good.
Or you can try it on the rocks with a small dash of Stone's Ginger Wine.
Ahhh a nice cold Malta.
Any other Malta lovers out there?
I think you have to have started drinking this at a young age.... I usually get the whole six to myself.
What is neat in this photo is you can see the steep trolley in the background.
It looks like Angels Flight but is actually a sister trolley called Court Flight.
This trolley started up from Court Street in LA and was steeper than Angels Flight over on Third Street.

Usually Friday night Tiki Happy Hours
We feature a Tiki era movie with matching Tiki drink.
Like Blue Hawaiians and Elvis' Blue Hawaii.
Hard to watch but good to drink:D
Send me a PM I'll let you know when we have the next one.
