I've got 4 Open Roads now. I wear them quite a bit. I got my 21 year old son an well worn vintage O-R copy at an antique store in Austin. He is in school in NY NY. He says every time he wears it someone gives him some snide comment or a Yee-Ha. He gets a kick out of it... I have been in some hat... -

End of this episode... I took the hat to Johnnys Custom Hatters (who used to finish hats for Brent Black). He stretched it for me. I've worn it twice and it has not shrunk back to the smaller size (as is my usual experience with stretching). He straightened out the wavy brim and made it look... -

Thanks. I checked out Uncomon Objects. I've been in there many times, just never paid attention to the name... All of the hats I liked, that fit, were pricey... I bought my son an old Resistol Open Road type hat. He said he needed a hat to take to Tokyo next semester... I was really sad to hear... -

I occasionally use the Four In Hand (FIH). It really looks great with the right tie... So many are just a hair thick or wide in the section where the knot is to look right IMO. I used to try to make the four in hand more symmetrical,,, as you wear them they tend to kind of shoot your tie farther & farther to the side... I was always checking & adjusting. Drove me nuts. I guess I need symmetry. I'm a double windsdor guy. I always know my tie is pointing straight down...- CactusJax
