Since writing the original post, I've had a few occasions to wear bow ties, and it's now become completely natural, which was hard to imagine at first, so definitely worth finding excuses to wear one!

Interesting. Just received mine and it does have cuff buttons... I'll have to just remove them I guess. Nice shirt though. Have you found it shrinking at all in the wash?
I wore one of their starched double collars to a friend's wedding last week - went down very well I think! Haven't tried any...
My bow tie keeps coming out like this... Is it a tying issue or could it be too short? It's one size tie, in theory in the correct size, but wondering if it could do with a little more length. Any thoughts please? I'd like to wear it to an occasion tomorrow but can't at the moment!

Does anyone have any ideas about this waistcoat? It's backless, so must be post-1923 (though I think it's probably much later than that anyway), it has what looks like would have originally been four buttons for a slip (only one remains) and the buckle reads 'SOLIDE'. Thanks!
