The commercial made me say "yes....yes...YES!!" then they showed the cars that were to bring back this "style" then I went "oh". Blah. Just another tuperware box on wheels.
Got mine wet not too long ago
Well, I've had it for a while now. And I must say, it's holding up very nice. I got it sopping wet in this Washington rain and there was no bleeding, discoloration, warping, softening, fading, and what really excites me, no shrinkage!! This is the first felt hat...
An Idea
Just another option take it or leave it. Consider the Citizen EcoDrive. I got my brother and ex one for their birthdays. They aren't self winding but are solar powered. The face of the watch is a big solar panel (though it looks like a normal black faced watch, you'd never know it...

Just stumbled on this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retro#Retro_cars retro inspired concept cars. My favorates are the Buick Nighthawk and the Ford Fortynine.

How about if we took the SSR, got rid of the bed and replaced it with an extended roofline and a trunk (or boot). Top it off with chrome bumpers and white wall tires and we're set!
I've been noticing lately that our obsession for the golden era seems to be becoming more mainstream. In addition to the Fedora Lounge, there's the Art of Manliness, The Cad, and The Chap. I recently found a jazz club in my town and half the men wear hats. TV shows seem to constantly give a...
Cool comercial, but not fitting for a toyota in my opinion. American cars yes, but toyota in a 40's/50's setting? Replay the commercials again and mentaly replace toyota with Lincoln or Buick...
Stop dresing vintage and start dressing classic
Dress classic as opposed to vintange. That's my advice and it's what I do. I don't own any vintage clothes. Everything I have is no older than 6 or 7 years old. The key is to not look dated, but not in vogue either. Have newer clothes that...

four-banger shoot out!! I had nothing to do with this video or event but I'm a car nut and wanted to share this video I found on youtube.
Found some more info
I was horsing around on youtube and stumbled on a lovely lady named Amy Walker who did a video of 21 Accents. The last accent she did was "Trans Atlantic" which she "was trained in 1945". I looked it up in Wikipedia and found that it was a trained accent. Its also known...
I'm guessing it's velour? Make sure it dries on its own and make sure it stays cool. Don't put it by a fire, or blow dry it. Heat and quick drying leads to shrinkage. Spray some water repellent on it for future rain. I put repellent on all my hats and they're invincible!
I used to be a member of the McChord Air Museum Foundation before I left for the Air Force. Spent 3 years at Altus then I went Reserve at McChord. I need to get back with those guys. How bout a beer at Ferellis pizza in DuPont sometime?
I have an uncle who says he was a Colonel in the Salvation Army. They kicked him out though because he tried to lead an attack on Goodwill.
Bad joke, bad joke...
