WONDERFUL POST!!!!
Have you shared this with the folks at Aero? They would love and appreciate it :-)
I have been working with them for several years and find them to be the most terrific group, so it was extremely fun for me to see the inside photos. Thanks so much!

I hate having to post this, but I am unable to accept any new jackets at this time. I've been struggling with my right arm. I had a rough night with it hurting so bad after the work I did yesterday, and this morning I can't lift a glass. I'm expecting to regain my mobility but I'll have to let...
From my experience restoring thousands of leather jackets, I'm guessing you needed more than one application of the Tenderly. As for the Urad, I can guess the condition of your leather if you only used the Urad and found it to be very glossy. If the leather is dry I always fill the pores with...
clever! good tip
I love Tenderly!! Combined with the signature formula, Urad, it does amazing things for leatherjackets! I've tried Pecards, Leather Honey, and MANY others. In my experience (decades) nothing compares to the Urad line of products. Tenderly is straight cream, no wax. It just...
Brant,
So sorry for such a delayed response!! I have been so busy I have forgotten to check in with everyone here at FL. So many of you have sent your jackets - I really appreciate all of your support!!!
As for the answer about waterproofing being a drying agent, I honestly don't know the...
We could hang it in the ozone room. Once right side out and once wrong side out. The musty smell will be gone. But it may have a light clean odor similar to bleach. It's a fine line between getting the musty smell gone and no new smell. I try to be careful so as to not overdue it.
Yes, a rubber eraser. (Not a pencil eraser).
Also agree about what's under the velcro. But I think I could find a piece of leather that would be unobjectionable- considering the trade off for losing the jacket. It would definitely cost more than just replacing the zipper, but this jacket looks...
It would be more expensive and take longer for sure. I'm not suggesting you send yours, but it might be fun to know (or fun for me to tell!) - I've had jackets sent to me from the UK (of course), Australia, Holland, Germany, Russia, Abidjan, Brazil, Spain, Singapore (which I thought was the...
J, Congrats on your cool jacket! I can see that the next time someone asks me to take off their belt and epaulets that I should keep them! To make new ones for you, I rather doubt I could match the leather in your jacket, or the buckle. Wish I had a better answer! Dena
Many beloved jackets that have served one faithfully for many years, look like the first two pics. When sent in for repairs, I frequently hear "I want to keep the patina so don't put anything on it."
But, when the top layer of the skin is worn away it deteriorates rather quickly. A jacket in...
