    Wrangler Unwashed 13MWZ

Mine were the shrink to fit raw denim type. I washed them inside out and air dried. Unless they are heavily soiled, I wash the jeans less frequently. As a result, these jeans have kept their dark indigo appearance, which I prefer.

    Wrangler Unwashed 13MWZ

I usually wear 34/30 so I bought 36/32. Can't believe I have worn these for 6 years. Someone mentioned selvedge jeans. That is all there were in the '70's and I remember how the legs would twist on Levis. Apparently, the twist is now desirable, but not for me.

Experiencing the Seaonal Evolution One Week at a Time

Since March 2019, I have hiked the same 10 mile loop in the Smoky Mountains National Park. This loop links four trails. The intent is to take note of the seasonal changes that occur from week to week. I've been out of a town a few times, but generally have been able to hike regardless of...

I've got a saddle blanket lined Carhart in dark brown duck material. It goes well with British tan khakis or blue denim.

    My Shaving SAGA

If only shaving is the motivation, I agree. If a varied experience and to connect to the past, there are reasons to explore and gain the skills necessary.

    My Shaving SAGA

It's a good way to enjoy a daily activity. My oldest is a 1916 Old Type Gillette. Other razors include Schick injectors from the '30's and GEM type from the teens through the late '50's. I have a couple Barbasol Floating Heads made by Conrad. There is one from Sheffield England. I've decided...

    My Shaving SAGA

So, about six months ago there was a thread here about shaving. Since then I have acquired about 25 vintage razors and one brush. I've passed on six to family and friends. I've found rare razors by educating myself what to look for inexpensively. I have found GEM, Schick, Gillette...

    Pocket Knife

Never carried a knife until 10 years ago when an associate suggested it. Now I cannot live without them. During the week I carry a vintage Tree Brand Barlow. On the weekends I use a Gerber clip type or a Gold Steel if hiking/outdoor activity. Those along with a money clip are in the left hand...

Above The Tie Stainless Steel Razors ?

First experience with Krona was better/closer than the '40's Gillette using the same generic grocery store blades. The Krona has a metal/chrome tip and feels heavier than the Gillette. It's not either or, but just appreciating the practical nature of vintage razors.

Above The Tie Stainless Steel Razors ?

I may be imagining, but on my new late '40's Super Speed, one side is more aggressive than the other. Just got a near mint first generation Krona that I will be breaking in tomorrow morning.
