I had some Lot 444s that I loved the looks of, but they made my toes numb. Made me realize I need a bump toe in my boots.

I’ve put additional holes in the straps to tighten my boots up. Also look into adding an additional insole. Both can work.

What is the top of the vamp that overlaps and goes up the shaft called? That part really bugs me on Wesco boots - too rounded. Probably nitpicking, but it’s the little things that make or break engineers for me. Other dislikes - rounded strap ends & stitchdown construction. I know, I’m weird...
It always sucks when a pair of boots just don’t fit right. It’s not always a width or length thing. I’ve got a few pairs in the back of the closet waiting to go to a cobbler to try to get the fit right. Others I just give up on.

I bought a pair of the Ariats on a whim a while back. They were cheap and I was intrigued by the red soles. They are comfortable, but are much more fashion boot than heavy duty workbook. I’m pretty sure they are glued construction.

Please post pics when you get them back. I have two pairs of engineers I need to get done and am trying to decide who to send them to.

I tend to like the block heels on my boots - they seem a little easier to walk longer distances in, but I do like the bell shaped heel on the Lone Wolf engineers.
