I've done this too. I have a nice 5 inch scar up the side of my leg starting just above the anklebone from shaving. It follows the path of that tendon. Looked like a scene from Psycho in my shower. Shaving accidents always hurt so bad! (and bleed so copiously!) :(
They are definitely one of the most useless beauty products I've wasted my money on. I noticed as it started to scab over that there were still little hairs all through the raw spot. So it took off the skin, but not the hair.
I tried to use those do-it-yourself wax strips on my eyebrows once - the ones with the wax attached to paper that go either under or over your eyebrow and get rid of all the little strays. I stuck one under my eyebrow and ripped it off, and not only did it take the hairs, it took all the skin...
Currently alternating between 5 different books:

Does anyone here use Shelfari? I just discovered it...
Margaret Atwood - "The Handmaid's Tale" and "Oryx and Crake" are wonderfully creepy but totally believable at the same time... I can read these over and over again.
Orson Scott Card - The "Ender" series is wonderful science fiction, and then he turns aroud and tells the same story from...
BIG BIG hockey fan here! I'm rooting for my Red Wings, of course! :) Waiting for their next series to start after a wonderful sweep of the Colorado Avalanche (or as a local radio station used to refer to them, the "have-a-stench"). :)
I must admit to the addiction that is BPAL. My favorite scents so far (since I'm always trying new ones) are Anne Bonny, Black Pearl, Voodoo, Boomslang, and The Candy Butcher. I ordered the limited edition Tiki Queen and Tiki King last week, and can't wait for those to come in, since I love...
I'm a Highland dancer, so I get to wear my kilt and other Highland dress during competitions and shows. We have very specific dress code rules set forth by our governing body, so dance outfits differ a bit from the traditional Highland dress (no sgian dhus, for example). I don't have any...
I went to Alma.. used CMU's library quite a few times though, for research.
I go to the MI Renaissance Festival practically every year. My dance school used to perform there on Highland Fling weekend with one of the pipe bands, but it's been a few years since we've done that.
I thought the exact same thing when I saw the trailer in the theater. Really looking forward to seeing this. It's a nice change from all the "heavy" subject movies out there. I'm not a big theater person, either, but I think I'll make an exception for this one. :)
So much love...
Lyburnum: I love the purse you're carrying in your last post. Very classy, but looks big enough for all the necessities.
Thunderw21: love the flower, and how it brings out the color in the tie. Very nice.
Patrick Murtha: your descriptions are always so detailed, I have...
Currently reading Citizen Soldiers by Stephen Ambrose, which goes a bit more in depth and includes more characters than the Band of Brothers book (which I finished a couple of days ago). Also making my way through Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky, which I picked up at the grocery store the...
I found the grenadine and the Rose's lime juice with the mixed drinks mixes (my grocery store doesn't sell hard liquor, just beer and wine, which is in a different aisle), but the key lime juice was in a different spot, next to the "clam juice" (ick). :)
