I did the same, from a craft store, and it works great . . . . But . . . the thing about the Terry cloth one is that it can be put right on the sweatband instead of behind it, so the rippling that can happen is not an issue. I looked through all the Fall/Winter Biltmore catalogs that I have, but for F/W mine only go back to 2014 (I have SS back to 2011), but found nothing just like this. To me, jarhead has always sounded rude, if not pejorative. I wouldn‘t use that term in speaking with a marine I think. But Jughead, on the other hand, is a wonderful appellation, where applicable, in the general US population.- nvilletele

In my usage, felt could mean fur felt, wool felt, cotton felt etc. (I make my hat sizers from cotton felt from the craft store) I too pretty much exclusively prefer fur felt, but I do have a few nice wool felt fedoras.
