No unfortunately I have not been able to ask the owner of the pith helmet for expressed permission to show these shots, however I do have permission to take a picture of the unpaid for plexi-glass case in which it is being stored... so if you can see the pith helmet through the box that is not...
The Coolest Pith Helmet You've Seen Today
A friend of mine owns a framing studio and art gallery. This pith helmet is owned by one of his clients. I thought that some of you may find this an interesting piece of art.
Enjoy
Let us share a moment of silence for the lost borsalino... ... ... ... ...
If I had to choose a single hat I'd go with my johnnyphi stetsonian the wide brim would provide much protection and still be super stylish ;)
Wow that sucks... I don't believe that you can stretch a hat up three sizes or if you can it will be either a significantly shorter crown or brim. better to try and sell it off to recoup your loses. try an ellipse calculator for your right size if you get two diameter measurements again
Anything that makes you memorable to an interviewer is a good thing.... flipping through a pile of resumes you could get missed but if you have something such as a hat to make you memorable he will relate your name to the hat ... I had a friend he got a job because he walked into the interview...
Schoble xxxx Brown

The way I where my hats depends on the personality of said hat. Just like some hats don't look right with different creases. I say put em on and leave it however it looks best.
To post pictures you need to host them on a photo site like photobox or flickr. Also you may not have privileges to post pictures on here till you post some more?
just click on this icon when you post your response and put the pictures address in the field that pops up.
Other than that...
Just take it slowly, form it wet put it on your noggin' check it out in a mirror and just keep reshaping till you like the looks of it on you.
There is very little chance of damaging a wool/fur felt hat just don't keep the steam on it to long if you take that approach.
My Favorite Haberdasher!
This is the haberdashery that I use for my cleaning and blocking services, they are very friendly people with a great knowledge of hats. I would highly recommend them to anyone in Toronto or outlying areas. It is nice to hear that they receive hats from across the...
Honestly, I think this is a nice hat however I am not sure an inexperienced would be able to flatten and reshape the brim without some knowledge, but feel free to prove me wrong...
Well he had 71 7&1/2 hats in his photobucket so I bet theres one left for you John will post for auction the hats you want to bid on just let him know which one it is that has peaked your interest ( I strategically hinted about the stetsonian the night before it was listed.)

And I wish you luck on your future acquisitions, my wallet is running on empty after this (a few moths flew out and were promptly beat to death), the other stetsons look very nice as well and I am sure you'll find one that matches your needs.
For sale is my size 7 1/2 brown Royal Biltmore Fedora, I am selling this as it is far too large for me. This hat needs some TLC the brim needs to be reshaped (reflanged?) and it could use a good cleaning. The retail on this hat is around $150 all I am looking for is $50 plus actual shipping...
