Usually when I get a new leather jacket, I will use a very high wax content leather conditioner and go over all the seams (only the seams). I do this for 3 reason.
1. Wax the threads so they don't fray and wear out so fast.
2. Soften the leather around the seams to help the break in and avoid...
I totally agree with you. I know it's a personal choice, but I wear my shirts untucked, and I have long legs in relation to my body. I'm actually selling this Bally jacket after wearing it for 3.5 years, it's always just been a little tight under the arms, and a little short.
Interesting to see the color of FN-LJ-HS001, next to a full brown, and deep black jacket. It's really a very dark brown in comparison.
When not side by side, and when out of direct sun, it does look black though.
I was tossing up between this exact rainbow country speedster, a tenjin js03 and my new flathead hs001. In my case they were all available on taobao in China from reputable stores for very very reasonable price, buy in Japan level pricing.
The red and white stripes? I personally like it, it's subtle enough but I can understand the preference not to have outer branding like that.
The grain has started to pop really nicely and faster than I expected.
