I see these fedoras made by a Polish company on Amazon for less than $100. The claim is: They are made of rabbit fur.
Any Lounger know about these hats?
Own one?
The question "how many hats is too
many?" has been a topic discussed before.
However, to that topic, should there
be a Lounge Sponsor, sort of like AA,
the guy to call when you want to buy
a hat and there's hardly room in the closet
for the ones you already have. (Most of which
we don't...
I just ordered an all wool, 1940's
style ball cap from Ideal.

Any Loungers had any experience with
the company or its caps?
They look great.
Few if any companies make 100%
wool ball caps that do not feature
some team logo or other.
Thanks!
Anybody wear a red fedora?
I see a really nice one listed in
Art's gallery. I have seen others
on line, as well.
I don't know if I would chance wearing
red.
If you do, what comments does it
illicit from passersby? Or the wife?
I only know one song of the many this
artist recorded.
But I was always curious about the hat.

Great photo.

Had to share it.
Imagine some carnival in the US when participants
all wore the same fedora.
Any Loungers ever crossed paths or purchased a Carlos
Santana fedora? Most are wool. The one of interest is
the Eternal, which claims to be fur felt...
If you click on the ny times and scroll down to
Bill Cunningham fashion photos, you will note
among the calvacade of trendy New Yorkers
a slew of fedora wearers. And not stingy brims,
either.

Any Loungers own this Akubra style?
I had never heard of it before.

An amazing comparison. Once brand new. Now
unrecognizable. I guess that's what the Outback
life does to a hat.

Bueys was a German performance artist, graphic artist, art theorist and
fedora wearer. Rarely was he photographed without what appears to
be a 5" crowned, 2 14" brimmed...
The documentary The Storm That Swept Mexico details
the revolution of 1910, Villa and Zappata.
But...
From a hat stand point, it shows any number and
styles of kepis, pith helmets, sombreros, western
type, fedora type (sort of) derbies and more!
Here's the trailer...
Just wondering what Jason Hawks' fedora might be.

If this has already passed around the Lounge, kindly direct me.
Thanks!
It has been my experience in recent years that there are two to three
places where I see fedoras worn, as well as any manner of hat:
-Local Farmer's Markets
-Flea Markets
-Weekend Vintage Car Shows
Perhaps this is simply a LA phenomenon, but
locally these three arenas draw men and women...
Since it's pouring currently in Los Angeles, this caught my eye
on the front page of the NY Times. Enjoy.

This new show coming to the History Channel appears to
show promise in featuring some interesting hats.
