Here's a question: (I hope this makes sense...)
How do you girls get your victory rolls to stay so circular without hair rats? Everytime I try, no matter how perfect the roll looks on my finger, when I go to secure it I end up with flattend ovals smooshed again my head. Maybe I'm pinning it...
I might mention that it's not just college kids who think that, though.
You're right, there is nothing wrong with human progress and I believe it should be encouraged wholeheartedly. But I believe that progress should be just that, progressive. It's difficult to find good craftmenship...
If any of you are near South Eastern Pennsylvania, say an outside out of Philly or so, it's a thrift store and antiques heaven! I should know, I live there!
I may be in the minority here, but I think just the feed sacks with a wooden valence on top would look the best. The two fabrics just clash too much. Not only that, but I doubt mixing fabrics like those would be very period appropriate. But I could be wrong, of course.
Moral of the story...
That's a lovely offer, Brinybay. Thank you for being so thoughtful! I'd take you up on that if I hadn't just recieved a new KitchenAid mixer for Christmas. A girl can only mix so many things at a time, and I've got a teeny-tiny kitchen. :) It is gorgeous, though.
My friends and I were gruesome in highschool. We celebrated "Massacre Day" and one year I even when so far as to take a white shirt, splatter it with red dye to look like blood and put a little bandaid over where my heart would be.
Some of my teachers weren't so fond of that...lol
But...
While I'll agree it's so strange that someone would "worship" such an evil person as Hitler and his cronies, I think there's a bit more too it than that.
If you look at it from a historical standpoint, I don't see anything wrong with Nazi reenactors. I might even say I encourage them. You...
You look so hep! The first time I curled my bangs I was so surprised, too. I had no idea they would actually hold it. I think it's such a quick and easy way to feel retro. Plus, I give you major points on the bandana too!
Here are my two fuzzy friends. lol
On top is Lucinda (Lucy for short, or if she's bad, Lucyfer). She's my 5 month old kitten. The other goofball is my boyfriend, Nate.
Like many have said, I'm so,so sorry to hear she's passed away, but I'm also glad that she's finally at rest.
To be honest, Bettie doesn't seem like the gal who'd want anyone to mourn her too much. So here's to the life of one of my (and many other's) personal heroes! Cheers.
I'm not sure if anyone's already posted this, if so please take it down, but I thought you ladies (and gents, too!) might be interested.

I think his heart's in the right place, but I'm not sure about his effort. I don't think his tactics will get him very far, which is unfortunate. I'm often shocked at people's manners these days.
Has anyone else noticed that the good films are always on in the wee hours of the morning when hardly anyone's awake to watch them? I don't have a VCR or digital recorder with me at college, so I guess I'm S.O.L., as they say.
