No issues in light rain. I certainly don't consider not wearing it because there's rain in the forecast.
I've only worn it out maybe twice in heavy rain and also had no issues (as opposed to my Himel brothers brown Shinki leather jacket where an admittedly torrential downpour bled brown pigment...
Sorry, the subway was packed heading home so I just have these detail shots instead. A wear is every day it was worn (not each time it was put on/off). Some of those days included hiking for 10 miles, but some were only a few hours of wear. Any more granular detail is too difficult to keep track of.
Thanks for a quick and easy transaction @Mandarin. It's a great trim fit and the leather is gorgeous! I'll post a review after I get in some wears and some decent photographs wearing it
tweedydon was great to work with - super fast shipping, no issues, and even an extra tossed in. Thanks for a great, easy transaction (and a great suit)!
Thank you! I'm so happy it found it's way to me. I've now worn it 37 times. I wore it as late into spring as I could. Flame panda is making me a pair of boots in the same leather and matching hardware to go with it - hopefully I'll be able to wear both together this winter (although the boots...
This is one of the first jackets I picked up a few years ago. I loved the color, it was from The Real McCoy's, and (not knowing much about jacket sizing) I hoped it might fit since it was labelled as a size 38 and I considered myself a size 40. Unfortunately, between the high arm holes and extra...
In case people are interested in seeing some of Dave's videos you can check them out on youtube at Himel Bros. Leather - or here's a link to the Heron jacket video:
I was re-listening to one of Dave's youtube videos about the Heron today. He mentioned that his original design for the Heron had a very boxy cut with no taper to the waist, but that he updated that design to include a roughly 2" taper from the chest to the waist for a more modern silhouette. I...
I really like the Mulholland, too. It's kind of a toss up between the two for me. I prefer the waist on the Mulholland, but I prefer the lack of an upper pocket and the buttons rather than snaps on this one. They're both beautiful in my opinion.
Purchased this jacket from the classifieds here at FL from AgentSmith77 who only wore it a few times (previously from Knakorn Piulueangsawat) - and wanted to post a few pictures and thoughts.
It's The Real McCoys 30's Sport/Mobster Black Leather Jacket. Notably this one seems to have been...
Thanks for sharing! Like I said, I'm not sure where the HH on mine came from. It definitely looks different than the Shinki stuff I've seen (although I had no in person knowledge of Shinki when I purchased this online). Does anyone know where else Himel has sourced HH? Any thoughts on where my...
This is my first nice leather jacket that I picked up a year and a half ago. It was previously owned by at least 2 others. I'm unsure how much it was worn, but there was little patina when I received it. I generally wear it in Fall and Spring and have worn it 63 times this year.
Brand: Himel...
My first post - so please let me know if I'm not following proper protocol here.
The weather has gotten cold here in NYC and I finally got to pull out my Navy Peacoat that I picked up in the spring. I used Peacoat's guide here to research peacoats and identify a suitable target. (I picked up...
Gorgeous jacket. Looks like I'll be the forever home - as long as we can work out the shipping. Maybe someone here has recommendations for the most reasonable shipping from New Zealand to New York?
Yeah, those are very similar to what I'm expecting.
He's super friendly and apologetic about the wait. I try to limit the number of emails I send him so that he doesn't get even more bogged down replying.
I ordered the 181 last since I plan to wear these at work and it's a bit more formal looking. I really love those cap toe that you posted as well as his monkey boots.
I don't mind the wait either, but would love a bit better communication.
I was originally considering placing an order for a...
