Ask a Question, Get An Answer About Outerwear

Thanks I found an ad on the internet from 1944 with this jacket described to the T, it must have been made in late 43 perhaps definitely a sears Hercules Cossack style.

Ask a Question, Get An Answer About Outerwear

Does anyone here have any ideas as to the brand of this jacket? And any idea what the estimated value would be? The zipper puts it at being made approximately from 1939-43. And it’s about a size 42 I’d say.

Thanks Yeah there rarely come up for sale, I want another one so I can continue to let this one sit in my closet and also have on to wear. Thanks Yeah there definitely pretty rare, I’ve seen a few other ones on google images, and some that where on eBay a long time ago for hundreds of dollars.

    James Dean Jacket

Thanks Another thing I was wondering is what years where the various McGregor jacket labels used. Here are the main 4 versions I’ve seen. I’ve seen quite a few versions of the label and some say Antron Nylon as opposed to just DuPont Nylon do you know if there’s a difference. Thanks

Not a cool Leather Jacket but still pretty neat. I believe it’s 1950’s with that conmatic zipper. Very James Dean

If you do decide to treat the leather jacket with something I’d recommend, Cobbler’s Leather Cream. I used it on my jacket that I’ve been religiously wearing now for about a month that’s a little further up the thread, and found it to be quite nice it made the leather softer and less prone to...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Here’s a hat from South Africa that my grandfather bought back in 1950’s I believe. He passed away last year at 86 and this is one of the few things he kept with him for all those years. He gave me this hat a few years before he passed, because I used to be obsessed with this style of hat and...

Vintage Outerwear: Threads of the Past

Looking for any information any one might have. Not sure on exactly what year but I think about 1940 or so, made by Glen Brae Sportswear for United shirt distributers, never seen another one. There’s a label on the inside that says it’s an aviation jacket.
