You are right. Where did you found these prices?
When I was looking up the DHL prices for a large (60x60x40) and heavy parcel they quoted 83 quid.
Ah, I just saw that you quoted from Aero.
Maybe they subsidise their shipping fees
Maybe aero doesn't use DHL. I checked the prices on their (DHL) UK website and they are eye-watering.
Giving the cost of living crises over there, the brits probably don't think much of it.
I think you have to take the fit of a jacket into account too.
If it is tight as moto jackets usually are,, you are better off with a shorter jacket which doesn't hit you bum. That way it won't ride up.
On looser fitting jackets it doesn't matter much.
The exact length needed is in any case...
I just got the final quote for the 'Toni-Jacket'.
500+60 for modifications+90(!) for shipping to Germany = 650 pound sterling.
Now I am thinking again...
In the other direction it would only be 27 €.
Brexit - what a splendid idea.
This one I bought used, but I think they rereleased the jacket under the Lee 101 label. I have the same jacket in a dark indigo shade (one size up).
The new one features buttons with "Lee 101" imbossed, while the older ones just says "Lee".
I like the paler shade and the smaller size better.
I...
No, at first I insisted on a darker shade of badalassi, which is currently not offered. I changed my mind now as I am getting the brown halfbelt from Tony Field (so to speak).
I just ordered a halfbelt. As per Sam modifications can be made regarding the sleeve and body length (+60)and the lining (another 60).
For 560 you can't get an aero jacket (except used of course), so for me, with my ape arms, a no brainier.
Normal wash cycles include spinning in different directions and that at a slow speed, so that the fabric or leather tumbles over itself. Sheer forces may tear the seams apart if they are already weakened by age.
I think it is worthwhile to test if pulling the sleeves inside the main body might...
Just use a touch of urad. That will restore the protective top layer.
If you want to use it on the whole jacket, consider using a conditioner first if the jacket appears to be dry.
