I’m going to be way up in far northern Sweden in late February, and I wonder if anybody has experience wearing FQHH in the cold.
My jackets are big enough to wear a sweater or down vest underneath. I have been in Antarctica in the summer when we wore layers of silk underwear, woold shirt...
So the other day I went out wearing an Aero Bootlegger and a leather Russian Lenin cap (a pretty snappy combination, I thought) and my wife said "Oh my god, you look like you are dressed up for Halloween!"
Of course, I wore that hat anyway, but it got me to thinking. At what point does style...
I was packing my two Aero jackets up for the summer (a little late) and it occurred to me that the wool linings might be vulnerable to moths. Anybody ever have a problem with this? The older of the two of mine has wear holes in the lining but no moth holes. Any thoughts?

Well the Bootlegger, ordered Feb 16th came today (April 20th).
Vintage Cordoba FQHH, snap pocket inside on the facing, zippered cuffs, slanted chest pocket, back length extended 1” to 26”, Black Stewart wool lining, cotton drill sleeve lignin, waist tapered 1” per side.

Has anyone ordered up an Aero Bootlegger, with buttons rather than a zipper? Many 30's aviator jackets seem to have had buttons and the Bootlegger seems like a good candidate for it, but I don't know how the proportions would hold up, or how the buttons would space out (5 up the front?).
