Up for auction is this rare black ultra lightweight Schoble Supreme. It has a nonleather (possibly silk or grosgrain) sweatband, so its very light. Possibly one of the tissue weight hats they advertised in the early 191xs.

They were not the same company. The McLachlan that was with Lee was Harry McLachlan. The MacLachlan company that this thread is for was Harry's brother George. Different company.

I've used Goop hand cleaner and a white t-shirt to remove verdigris. Use a very small amount of goop on the cotton shirt and squeeze/wipe at it. Repeat with a new section of the shirt each time.
