Light-colored Akubra Territory is it for me. Tried the straw Resistols etc. I find them very hot and sweaty, and not as comfortable and conforming as the Territory. The 4 inch brim gives me portable shade.

For pure excitement , courage, filming, and again, excitement........... another vote for Simon Wincer's
fabulous "The Lighthorsemen".
Why isn't there a proper version of it on dvd after all this time?
Regards, Gerry.
They also look like a pair of boots I have from Schnee's footwear in Bozeman, Montana......fabulous 16" leather top with a rubber bottom. Takes you right back to the
1930's. It's pronounced "shnays".
Gerry
Two choices, I love them both...............Boerne, Texas (small town north of San Antone, in the Hill Country , friendliest people I've ever met) and Bozeman, Montana. Canada is okay in the summer, but way too much winter...
I live in my Schnee's (pronounced shnay's) 16" leather top guide boots in moose hunting season. Picked them up in Bozeman myself. Excellent product, retro-styled to boot!!
Happy New Year from Canada, Gerry
Not really.......
Django's coupe is a very cool street rod, methinks, as fitted in the 50's, and therefore his attire is perfect for the hot rod/street rod culture.
Rock on, Django!

Sandpaper
Fine grit sandpaper is used in the manufacture of beaver fur hats, and can carefully be used to remove a mark that is not too deeply imbedded in the felt. Gerry
CopperNY and 1OldGI..............well spoken, and thoughtful, both of you.
I am a fan of the cinematic efforts of Michael Mann in his law enforcement-themed films, "Heat" being a best example. He has a knack for capturing the essence of the "cop personality" played against the "criminal"...
I reaLLY like that hat !
RBH...........NICE job on the bash. Are the dimensions similar to a Fed IV? The Fed I just received was just over 5 1/2 inches open crown. I know a thin ribbon gives different optics than a wide one, but your crown looks really high, which I like a lot...
Randal..........my Fed IV Deluxe arrived a few weeks ago with a perfect turn-up flange all around the brim. All I had to do was bash the crown and flip down the front of the brim, and the back of the brim had a great flange dip to it.
Regards, Gerry
Kools......you have really neat gear!
Especially the vintage amps mellow sound I'm sure.
This is my non-vintage Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster. I'm 57 years old, I'm re-living the 60's when everyone was in a band!
