There's lots fan of this forum will find of interest in the book---which almost certainly will be more true to history than will the movie.

My old dad, many uncles, and grandfather all served and none wore anything but a baseball cap, though my grandfather had a small fedora that he kept in a closet (I inherited this).
But I was in, too, and always wear hats.
FedoraFan112390, I'm in the city, too, and wear felt most of the summer, though a light colored one, but I go for straw or a cap when wearing light-colored linens. Keeping the sun off the head really brings the temp down, even if it's felt.
Gray or light blue?
Goose's pics make the Moonstone look grey, and even a slightly dark shade of grey, but awest84532's make it look like a pale blue! Must be the background in awest84532's pic: all that blue makes for a dramatic contrast.
The suit is great. If you don't mind a suggestion, try a wider tie, perhaps in red. The thin, dark one you have on doesn't seem to be able to stand up to the chest. White spats would make it pop, too.
