    First Open Road Congrats on your first Open Road, it is a beauty. I have two: an old one (pre 1960), and a new one, and I paid a lot more for both of them. The old one is softer than the new one, but both are rather stiff - both the crown and the brim. lenj

    No 13 One of our members posted a pic of James Dean wearing a style of hat he had never seen before - a fedora with a double bash. No. 13 seems to be the model for that style - one unfamiliar to me as well, and I am no teen. lenj

    Ventidue I had the same problem with my Ventidue - skipping, uneven ink flow. Had the feed replaced with a vintage Esterbrook feed - now writes the way it should have from the start. The new Stipulas with titanium nibs have a new feed system and they have corrected the problem. lenj
