Using what you said, I used a clipboard and my hand to press it after I steamed it, and that looks like it did the trick. By crease I meant a line where the hat was originally shaped, and remnants of it remained as a slight raised line/hump. More pressing fixed that as well, just took a couple... -

So I got energy drink on a Resistol Silverbelly 4x hat. Now I have a stain. Ideas? Back when I did stereo work we would use WD-40 to clean stains off silver, white and gray cloth materials, so that's where I'm leaning. -

The post above jarred my memory. I have used these boot blousers in the past (black on the left in the image). Wide enough to cover some amount of material and the velcro makes them easy on/off. A pair will cover several inches of pants leg on the chain side. -
