Except that it is sheep's leather and buttery soft...hmmm if it were steer or horse well they might be on to something.
I would think it has armour in the elbows back and shoulders. Horse jackets are great for abrasion but if you hit the deck, then its ok for sliding, just dont smash your elbows or shoulders into the kerbs.
I have some of that Power ranger gear for my Hayabusa, but if I rode an oldie I would probably pick something like this.
I can also get a motorcross armoured vest under an oversized Eastman A2 If I wanted to, but it is one of Garry's early big shouldered jackets.
