I've handled several of these before but this one seemed different. aside from a very small size everything seemed correct. Zipper hardware, AAF decal etc. Condition is remarkable, very little wear and none in the usual places. Label is gone, but curled up under where the lining meets the knit I found this label. Size 11, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this a W.A.S.P. B-17 ? Pictures to follow.............

Size 11 is a woman's size; a large woman's size. My wife is 5' 4" 118 lbs. and is a size 4.

There were female pilots during WWII that flew most of the aircraft in the Army's inventory, including B-17s.

I am by no means an expert on women's clothing sizes, but I read an article a while back that mentioned that female sizes have changed over the years. They used the example of Marilyn Monroe and how she was a size 12, or something like that, but the size 12 back then is equivalent to size 6 today. I am sure I am wrong about the sizes, but my point is that sizes have changed. But based on the physical size of the jacket, you may be right Peacoat.

Well until we can get a womans size expert to chime in, I'd say it fits close to a 34. But I'm more interested in the details and history of this model.
