This jacket is in excellent condition, has seen very little wear at all. I purchased it from a seller on this forum. I am selling it only because of some other jackets I have acquired: this one is now too similar to a couple of others that seem to see more wear. It is truly gorgeous, smells wonderful, and has some special features. In particular, the collar is the Board Racer style, which means it is intended for an upright (i.e., normal standing or sitting) posture rather than the forward-tilted motorcyclist posture of the regular Cafe Racer. Makes the neck and shoulders fit more comfortably, at least when not riding a motorcycle. I'm asking $700, including shipping cost in the continental US. Style- Café Racer with two chest pockets and board racer style collar Size- 38 Leather- Italian veg tanned FQHH, extra grainy hides specified. Still for sale. This one really looks and feels special, really fun to wear just because it's so darn nice. I've also got a size 40 Plainsman listed for sale. When one sells, I'll be keeping the other one.
Congrats on your sale - That's a wonderful cafe racer, hope you do indeed get to enjoy it for a long time!
I'm reviving my old for-sale thread here. Two years later I still have this jacket but am now wanting something different. So it's back up for sale. Description is the same, it has not been worn enough to change anything. Same $700 price as before.
beautiful jacket... where are you located? I'm so apprehensive of buying jackets online, I never seem to get my sizing right. Your measurements are similar to a jacket I just sold that was too big on me a size 40 Cafe Racer. Would you say this fits more like a size 40?
I'm in NC. I would say the chest, shoulders, upper arms, and sleeves fit more like a 40. The midsection (upper belly) fits more like a 38, and the waist is trim. I usually wear a 38 and can layer under it comfortably, and the shoulders fit just fine even if not trim on me.
yeah, figured, the measurements almost exactly like the 40 I sold, which was too big for me. Thanks for the info. GLWS
Could you explain the difference in collars again. I’m new here and trying to figure out the difference.
Sorry but I don't know the details of the different collar styles. I'm just repeating the information about the jacket that was contained in the ad when I purchased it on this forum.
Free bump Great jacket at great price. I’ve got a number of board racers and really like the streamlined fit compared to the cafe racer. Best of luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
