Aero Half Belt Deluxe - Heavy Front Quarter Horsehide

I was at a friend's house the other day and had the opportunity to try on his Vintage Brown Half Belt Deluxe and was favorably impressed. First of all, the vintage brown f/q HH was very pliable and draped well. I found that I preferred the fit over the 30's HB, which IMO had much less freedom of movement.

I have an Aero Half-belt Deluxe in black heavy fqhh. Unfortunately, no pictures to share. I've had it for about 7 months, which includes the summer months of course; so it is not fully broken in yet. The options I included are A-2 type snaps on the collar, corduroy interior wear strip at the bottom, double side buckles, one interior horizontal opening pocket on the right side, black watch tartan body lining with black drill cloth lining in the sleeves. The sleeve lining is the one thing I would change if I could. A satin or gabardine lining would be a much better choice for ease of putting the jacket on. Aero got the fit just right and I am very pleased with this jacket. I asked for a snug fit based on my measurements and Aero provided that nicely. It is still of course pretty stiff, but it is breaking in nicely and developing some nice character. It was cool here this morning, so I wore it to work for the first time this Fall. Hope this helps.

Hi Guys:

Been a bit of a crazy week but here's a couple of shots of my Half-belt Deluxe. I personally like Vintage (Vegetable Tanned) a bit more than Chrome Tanned but both look cool. I have had the black vintage horsehide on a couple of Aeros and it looks good with no break in time. Mine has the fur collar, if I were ordering I would consider the removable fur collar. Again just my thought.

Wilbur, I was hoping that you might show pictures of that killer Half Belt Deluxe in vintage brown FQHH jacket that you own. I can vouch that the picture does not do justice!

Butte, Wilbur doesn't live in Texas but lives in Tennessee where I grew up and have been visiting for the past few days. Warm in Tennessee but still HOT in Texas where I will be again in the next few hours. Fortunately we have air conditioning in our homes where some of us can wear our Aero jackets!

Yeah but it was 51 degrees on the mountain this morning. Gonna wear something tomorrow. On the bike of course.
