My LHB from Aero finally arrived today after about 9 weeks from date of order. It is everything I was expecting - the Cordovan hide is extremely nice which is complemented by the quilted rayon acetate lining that I prefer. The fit is just slightly large (size 46) on me but being of a certain age I think it looks pretty good although not nearly as tailored as many strive for on this forum. This type of lining has been recently reintroduced by Aero and it is quite similar to my first regular 1950's half-belt although that lining is a brick color vice this red/green combo. Needless to say I am quite pleased with the coat although it is understandably stiff but this will ease with use. I did notice there is no rub-off or marking as is the case with my 15 year old 1950's half-belt in black FQHH. Maybe the tanning process has changed since then. I'm attaching some images of my new coat for reference. It's hard to capture the true color of the hide as it changes with lighting. Please be kind with any comments regarding fit issues as time and gravity have been taking their toll on me for over 6 decades!
