You folks waiting for your Black Cherry's are in for a HUGE surprise!!

Mine was in my office when I returned from lunch.

Absolutely gorgeous. The pictures you have seen don't do it justice.

Hollowpond, I like the brim down more, but up or flat is good too. I just wear all mine down. Personal preference.

Is there somewhere I can go to see some examples of straw hats that Art makes? I see a few examples here, but there are none on his website.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I talked to Art this Past Saturday and ordered a Black Cherry for myself. That makes three from Art. I have a Whiskey "Sportaire", a Silver Mist and now the BC. I think I am going to ask Art to make it just like the Sportaire because it is a little taller in the front. Perhaps a 1" or 1.5" wide ribbon in the same color.

That's a very good one. A seriously elegant hat. What is the brim size on it; and is brim size same all around? And what is the crown size, however you measure that?

    Thanks guys.

Brim size is 2 3/8 all the way around. I believe the crown height is 5 1/2. I think that's kind of the "standard" VS crown size, but I could be wrong. It's amazing having a hat that fits perfectly!

I posted a couple of pics when I first got it, but that's been awhile now. I think I've never been real happy with my crease, since I forgot to ask Art to do it for me. It's certainly undergone a few changes. BTW, the felt is the most amazing I've seen/experienced. It would be hard to imagine it getting any better than this!

Get ready to receive your favorite hat! I can't say enough about the black cherry. Art made mine with a 1 inch ribbon and I love it. But that color in person is so rich-photos don't do it justice. Great great choice. Maybe whiskey someday for me.

I can't get a pic that truly shows the color. It is MUCH cooler than the picture.

    A true piece of "Art".
