That would be a good title for a thread. "If Entrance Music Were Played Each Time You Logged Onto The Lounge, What Personal Entrance Music Would You Choose?"

AF

Wonderful idea!

I wonder.

For the moment I'd choose the opening ten seconds of the Whiteman "Sweet Sue". The fanfare is a bit bombastic and more than a little out-of-date, as am I, but it is mercifully brief, as I am not.

What would you choose?

The opening of the fourth movement of Dvorak's New World Symphony. If that doesn't get their attention, I don't know what will.

(I thought about Ride of the Valkries, but I would get sick of people singing "kill the wabbit" every time I walked into the room.)

Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. After we were married that was our exit song (when we walked down the aisle to leave the chapel).

Either that or "evil woman" because when my daughter throws a tantrum because she doesn't want to do something I'm "doing to her" (like getting her dressed or changing her) I sing, "I'm an evil mama, such an evil mama" to that tune.

No, you don't have to tell me: I understand that I am weird.

You probably aren't familiar with either the artist or the song, but I often have Iris Dement's "Wasteland Of The Free" running through my head when I read some of your posts.

Wow! Love the lyrics and their sentiment.

Somehow, though, I picture Miss Maine entering to the strains of "Cheer Up! Smile! Nertz!".

I can just hear her shouting "Lets hang the fathead to a tree!"

Yes indeed. Somehow I always picture Mr. Hoover's pasty mug whenever that line comes up.
