I'm a hat guy, not a jacket guy, but recenty acquired a B-3 -type jacket that has no labels, tags, etc. The leather is pretty decent and in great shape, the fleece is a bit matted, so it has a bit of age on it, the Talon zipper has a glitch in its continuity, and it has two regular pockets up front rather than one map pocket.

Is there any interest in such a jacket? Maybe for someone who wants the look, but doesn't want to risk thrashing their real B-3? If so, I will put up pics. I traded three fedoras that weren't my size/style for it, and I live in Florida (who needs a coat like this @ 90 degrees?) so, who knows??? [huh]

Here are some pics and some dimensions. I would like some feedback on what it might be, and value range before moving it over to the Classifieds...

It fits like a 42 - 44 regular
waist 46"
sleeve - inseam 17"
sleeve - shoulder to cuff 25"
yoke - 20" shoulder to shoulder
yoke - bottom seam 18.5"
collar - 19" zip to zip
collar 4.5 - 5" tall, dual straps
fleece is a little matted, needs cleaning at cuffs and waist.

If any other measurements needed, let me know...thx.

Well, I'm not sure of its origin, but I put it up at auction just to see what it will bring...I won't post a link since it is not permitted in these threads.

I made the trade for the hats and I'm just looking at a quick turnover only because I couldn't bring myself to wear fedoras that are not a good fit and are riddled with moth bites. My friends at the vintage store can make a decent profit on rental of such hats more so than I could selling them, and I really have no practical use for the jacket. Just a cockeyed way to a win-win situation.

Hah, imagine wearing a B-3 iwhen it's 95 degress and 95% humidity!

Not a B3

It is a nice jacket and the leather looks good with a nice reddish sheen.
But I'm afraid it is not a B3:( . and for me the term "replica" implies "exact copy", so I wouldn't classify it as a B3 replica either. It looks a bit like a B6 / D1 derivative, but is neither, I think.
It must be a civilian "in the spirit of" jacket.
Maybe someone on the forum can be more precise in placing this jacket!
