DUBOW A-2 RMNZ. This is the one that links to the Producer of Band of Brothers (the HBO mini series). 'Allegedly' (I use 'that' word, because I have no documented proof Gents), this Dubow was 'custom made' for one of the Producers of the series.
Many of you will be familiar with this beauty just because I wear it all the time and it's been my A-2 for some years now. It is a beautiful russet horse-hide, which has developed a wonderful 'worn-in' patina just like an original. Hookless Zip, but the puller has come off so a little ring does the same job. The knits on the sleeves are getting straggly, but there's still life in them yet (I wouldn't bother changing them).
As with originals, the neck liner has worn in parts (the cotton fabric liner), but again, I feel it just adds to how authentic looking this jacket is now and again, I wouldn't go rushing out for a reline.
A sturdy little jacket, that's a unique little number for Real McCoys and really looks the business.
Reason for Sale: Just fancy a change like the rest of us in here.
Price: £299 + postage.
Just did the measurements as promised.
Armpit 2 Armpit. 20.5"
Front (length of the zip) 21"
Back (of collar to bottom of knit) 23"
Sleeve (top shoulder seam down to edge of leather) 22"
(+ 2.5" for cuff knit).
Shoulders (across) 18"
I wear a 40" to 42" and this is a lovely neat fit and very comfortable. At 5' 8.5" and 11 stone, (33" waist)
is great on me.
Hope that helps, regards, Paddy.
