Josh, Great find! It looks fantastic! Beautiful form and finish!
Thanks, Garrett! I was shocked that it fit. I've never had a 6 7/8 that fit this well. Whats funny is that the size 7 western I received on the same day is a bit tight. I guess I can't win them all. LOL.
Thanks so much, Steve! I was shocked when I found the white and reddish-brown furs mixed in with the black furs. Its really a pretty finish up close.
Continuing last year's buys. Again instead of the typical new hats thread I thought to revive an old one.
Biltmore velour in 7&1/8, wears smaller though, so it fits nicely.
Quite hard to capture color and sheen on this one. It's actually gray but looks brown under certain light.
Initially I thought I would use that one as a beater in the cold winter days, though I must say I am impressed by the quality of that lid. It's not like a pre war Huckel but it is in par with other European post war ones that I own.
Many many thanks to Brent for finding, buying and sending this one to me, couldn't be happier
My grand beaver biltmore
Biltmore porkpie cavalier
Probably my favourite fits perfect
Now that’s a great find. Vintage pork pie with back bow in a fantastic colour.
Wear it in good health.
Thank you I love wearing it super comfortable
This was my Great grandfather's I was lucky enough to get it
I upsized this same hat (except it was an exceptionally long hair, almost did not look like it had been felted but was the actual beaver pelt. Same style, same chain link band, similar feather. I did the work for a man my age that inherited it from his father. We figured as best we could it was from the 1960's.
That is awesome thank you for the year I figured early 70s for mine I seen it at an antique store and had to have it
Best one (probably oldest, at least) of the collection, IMO.
Thank you I totally agree with the age and best one
