Borsalinos with Celled Paper Labels

After looking through the entire Borsalino Brotherhood thread I found that there are two Celled Paper Label types.

Type 1 (Sweatband Date Stamped 05/17/1929)

Type 2 (No Date)

Type 2 is slightly longer and less wide than Type 1. The Type 2 cell size and alignment are also different. The Type 2 dimensions are more similar to later non celled paper labels. Sometime during the 1930s the Celled Paper Labels were dropped. I am not sure how far back the Celled Paper Labels go. If you have a different variation of the Celled Paper Label format please let me know.

The following are the Celled Paper Label Borsalinos I found in the Borsalino Brotherhood. Unfortunately some of the photos are lacking in quality. We can update this thread as more become available.

Echter Borsalino "Fico" "Lama", French Size Point 6, date stamped May 18, 1929, German Market.

Fantastic work, Steve. This provides a good insight in what we have gathered so far on the old Borsalinos. The Misto Nebbia homburg I have is another example of a soft felt with the type 2 label.
Stefan, Thanks! I have that one coming. I guess I didn't noticed it was Type 2 prior. There are more Celled Paper Label Borsalinos than I expected. :)

These are the hats I found in the Borsalino Brotherhood thread (as of March 13, 2019) so if there are any other Borsalinos with Celled Paper Labels please post here (please follow my format).
Fantastic job you did here, Steve. Very satisfying to see all of them together here. Let's hope we find lots more of them (with date stamps on them if possible!).

Stefan, Thank you! I am sure more will be found. By the way the last one I posted is from my 3 Max Eckard Berlin find. The other 2 are sweatband dated 1929 but this one has no date stamp. What is interesting is the paper label is smaller but has the same cell alignment.

The following hats that belong to Tonio have an additional "Campione/Sample" Paper Label on the sweatband with "Refer.", "Modello.", "Colore.", "Feltro." and "Qualita." entries. The "Modello." and "Colore." entries are also referenced on the Celled Paper Label.

Borsalino Qualità Superiore(?) "Minetta" "Calabrese", U.S. Size 7 3/8, American Market.

The "Modello./Model" is the upper left cell of the paper label. The "Colore./Color" is the lower left cell. I will have to see if I can find these two "Modello./Model" numbers in the old Borsalino documents.

What is interesting is the "Feltro/Felt. Charlait" is the same for both the Soft Felt and the Stiff Felt. I couldn't find anything specific regarding "Charlait" + Felt but the term was also used by French Hat companies. Borsalino still uses the term "Charlait" today but appears to be a model type or style.

Excellent work again, Steve. Never noticed that before. I'll dive into this to see how this relates to the other label numbers. I think you may have cracked part of the borsalino code. I think that may be on par with cracking the enigma machine.:)

I have checked a few other than the celled hats to see how this holds up. Quite well actually. I looked at some Gulaela models (I've had several of these). The numbers were:
10K02 (dattero colour)
10K06 (amiata colour)
10K07 (nero colour: three different ones of those, all with the same number).
Looks promising, but let's not get ahead of ourselves; it's Borsalino after all, so nothing's certain.
