Money's tight, so I'm gonna attempt to sell a couple more hats. First up is an old Brent. I like this hat and don't REALLY wanna sell it. But it doesn't get much head time. It's a little rough but has lots of life. Fairly lightweight. One notable hole in the back. Almost looks like it was from a tag or something. Some light mothing under the brim. And a sort of "scratch"? I dunno, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Size is a tight 7 1/8, maybe a large 7. 4 1/2 inch bashed crown, 2 3/4 inch brim with a really sweet underwelt. Asking 25 shipped. Next up, I have a Biltmore Golden Pheasant velour. Size 7 3/8 I believe, fits somewhere between 1/4 and 3/8. Felt and sweatband in good condition. Liner, not so much. Not a big fan of braided bands or the over shape of the crown on this one so I wouldn't miss it. 2 inch brim and about a 5 inch crown. Asking 20 bucks shipped. Thanks for looking!
If it were my size I would buy it. I had success repairing a hole in a felt as I was able to match colour with a felt swatch. Used a leather punch to cut a plug out of the swatch slightly larger than the hole in the hat (Yes, it was made by a braindead clerk that punched a price tag right through the hat). Then it was a simple act of a little glue on the hole and inserting the plug.....you could not notice the former hole.
I liken it to...if you have a hammer all the world appears as a nail....it you have a tag gun it is open season on anything!
