I believe he is looking for this type of hat. I think of them more as Australian hats, but believe some British units wore them as well.

Hello, I'am looking for a British style slouch hat for my JG. Is it hard to find ?
Hi Ryker, these types of slouch or bush hats hats were worn in Burma during WW2 and in the South African war by UK forces, the Gurkhas still wear a form of them for ceremonial dress. The difference for the UK version was often a press stud clip to fold them up and a smaller thinner puggaree or felt band. They are everywhere in Oz but where you would get them in the UK I'm not sure
