Ive seen some really cool vintage repro clothing pop up by Bronson Mfg on places like Aliexpress. Does Bronson have an official website that I can look at? I cant seem to find it. Thanks

Looks interesting! I love some of their pieces. Has anybody here ordered from them already?

I have but Bronson does not have a shop on the Aliexpress, the Taobao counterpart that is open to the international market. The Aliexpress shop that sells Bronson is/are reseller(s) and do not carry all the Bronson's stocks.

Recently ordered a Non Stock Men's Outdoor Duck Canvas from the new-ish Bronson website.

This one - https://bronsonshop.com/collections...game-pocket-magic-vest?variant=17459323273275

Arrived in 14 days to the UK and was just as described.

Was looking for a larger fitting vest for layering and while there were a couple of more expensive options out there the price was right on this one. Very pleased with it

I will say I don't think this item is of the same quality as the Bronson items I've bought. The material is fine but it seems less well made throughout, not badly, just not like its going to last - more fashion than utility. I don't know if thats the normal story with all Non Stock brand items or just this one as its the only item of this brand I've bought. No complaints at the price point though and it was just what I was looking for.

The only thing I didn't like was the buckle inside the back was pretty lumpy and uncomfortable so I ended up un-stitching it - which was super easy as the stitching was quite lightly done. Much better without (and the buckle came in useful to repair a pair of a pair of Levis where the cinch buckle had broken.)

I've noticed they seem to be starting to do more shirts and trousers an extra size up more recently - I guess they've found the demand is there for larger sized items.

I was looking to buy Buzz Rickson Original-Spec. Khaki Chino through HistoryPreservation but came across the Bronson mfg. site (bronsonshop.com) and the reviews seem good so I went ahead and ordered 2 from there for $70.00 each. They call them 'US Army 1942 Model Khaki Chinos Uniforms Casual Trousers'
I added two 260g US Cotton Ringspun Tube T-Shirt
(Milk White and khaki) to the order as well. These tube style tees are usually really pricey so I'll see if these Chinese knockoffs are of quality or how historically accurate they are compared to the Eastman Japanese made loop-wheel loom tube shirts... but at $25 each I probably won't complain. I'll update once I receive the items. (free shipping was nice but it may take about 3 to 4 weeks... I'm patient :D )

The Bronson company also own Bob Dong and Nonstock. To the best of my understanding, Non-stock is a cheaper label than the others, though from what I gather still pretty good.

Mostly they seem to specialise in pieces inspired by popular Japanese reproductions. If they can reach more of a Western market,. I think they will do well. Problem for me isthat the sizing information seems to indicate everything they cuirrently do is maybe a size or so smaller at the top end of their range than I'd need.

THere's a guy sells them on eBay with good sizing information - not sure if it's direct or a retailer, but they do look nice. If they would up their size range by two or three sizes at the top end, they could surely take a lot of the ,market that still wants this type of thing but has been priced out of the Japanese market. Their MA1s and L2As look great as well.

Guy on ebay great to work with. After i placed an order he emailed me to discuss the sizing further and convinced me to size up. He was correct. It was only a $30 shirt. Had i gotten the sizing wrong it wouldn’t have been worth it to return.

Bob Dong and Bronson are two different companies. Bob Dong started with his own creation of vintage inspired denim workwear then moved on to copying others while Bronson has always copied others. I think Bronson was a OEM factory and supplier to other brands before creating his own brand. Bob Dong on the other hand started with a studio design workshop sourcing from other factories. Bronson has its own production line while Bob Dong does not. Non Stock is likely sourcing from Bronson but probably not owned by Bronson.

Ah - a more complex web than I'd realised. What sort of thnig did Dong do before they moved to their current model? BE interesting to see.

I still need to find somewhere in Beijing that sells this stuff, I'd love to get to se a lot of it first hand. (At BEjinig prices, I'd probably buy as much as I could fit into as well!)
