This is the ranger belt I wanted for some time, and finally got last spring.
Then last summer, off came a few sizes. So this belt no longer fits. It was too large to begin with, and a Ranger belt is fastened in such a way that you can't make it smaller by the expedient of adding more holes.
The gewgaws are nice -- nickel, I should think. It is 1 & 1/4" wide, and rather plan. No stitching or western fancy stuff.
The wear you see is the unavoidable scratching from the back of the buckle while the belt is fastened. This is not seen when worn and is common to such belts.
It's a Nocona. Size 42. I just ordered an exact replacement in a smaller size.
This was worn perhaps a dozen times. In excellent condition. Asking $15 and shipping. PM me if interested - thanks!

scotrace - guess I don't have enough time in grade to reply via a pm yet. Be that as it may, I am currently a size 42 and I'm interested at your requested price. That's quite the engraving on the buckle and other hardware! But, as with ranger belts in general, I understand that a 42 ranger is made for a size 40 (one size down in other words). I've got one ranger Tony Lama (horsehair inset...nice) and the vendor stated that I needed a 44 to fit a 42 waist...and they were correct. Does this fit a 42 at the midpoint of the holes?

Don't know how to connect exactly, other than this thread. I'm on Mozilla Foxfire and don't use MSN so the link to your email in your profile page didn't work either.

Well, that's moderately helpful.

So then - how many holes are there from that first position to the last...what is the distance in inches between the two? I can figure it out from there.

Blackhorse, I believe you're right. One should order one size up from your trouser waist size.

I'm thinking about this - I do leatherwork and I've shortened Ranger belts before, and I wear a 38 trouser. I'm wondering if there is 2" of room in the "hole" part to take up a bit of slack???????????
