A new show has started on BBC America on 8/19/2012 that is made here in the USA. It is set in 1860s New York and is a crime drama. It even has a character that uses basic forensics. Lots and lots of cool hats. Instead of a western its a north eastern. Fans of Hell on wheels should like it. One episode and I'm hooked.

Except the cast looked like Twilight 2.0. Dunno, pictures I've seen from that era just don't match the ever so handsome cast. At least from the trailers.

I watched, but it did nothing for me - I only made it halfway through the first episode. I didn't believe a second of it.

Despite the Five Points in 1864 setting, it's no Gangs of New York.
