Definitely one like that!
Was wondering if any of you can tell me who made this cross zip. Pretty hefty leather, well worn needing some repair and new lining. Main zip is serval, sleeves are NYNCO.
Dipped my toe in the cross zip waters with this horsehide Beck "survivor"...
Patina galore...and C&C/Crown zips. Does this help date it? I usually see Talons..
You dove headfirst into the pool. Beautiful jacket.
Not familiar with this C&C main zip. Look like a copy of a common Talon used through out the 50s into the 60s.
Interesting jacket, looks like there has been a label attached at the neck? Do some more pics. Sleeve zippers, lining.
The beck i owned had beautiful, heavy, an high quality leather
I love the side cinches on the ralph pughs
That hd is nice to. That doesn't fit you does it terry?
No, it is too small probably a size 38
Gotcha, its easy to hang up an nice to look at!
Terry, @regius pointed out that the collar on his R-P was cut asymmetrically (the top part of the double collar) have you noticed this on yours? Or is it a fluke? I can’t tell on mine as the collar is deteriorated too much to get a real read on the shape.
Not sure I understand. What about this one?
I love this leather, has grains from start, maybe im biased since i processed /dye it myself, but i can see quick characters.
i went to check on my jacket and saw the facing and liner today.
I ask for zip on the liner side panel to give easy access to replace elastic and any possible service (popped stitches, mold check, popped rivets, etc.) needed later on.
Also mirrored action back on the liner too (i try my idea, to see if it helps with ease of movement).
It’s this part Terry.
it it the same shape on both sides? What about on other R-P cross-zips?
@tmitchell59 - pics of the main and sleeve zips.
Thanks for the additional pics. I remain unsure. The main zipper is just something new to me
A few more, tatty lining with missing tag, illegible sizing tag, and added eyelets for the laces...well loved by someone. I'll get a fit pic at some point. It was listed as 44L and ends just past my belt, but above jean pockets, which I like.
