Do your fedoras smell after getting wet?

Weird question, but do any of your hats smell noticeably after getting wet in the rain? I'm pretty sure I've only noticed that particularly strong smell with my vintage Stetson St. Regis (late '40s or '50s), my Akubra Federation IV if I remember didn't have too much of one. To describe it a little, it's a dusty, musty scent, and mixed with the smell of a wet animal (a beaver or rabbit?). I'm not bothered by it myself, but to the uninitiated, they're gonna wonder where that smell's coming from.

Yes, they do.
They smell like success ... NO, WAIT ... the smell like danger!
Yes, that's it.
They smell like successful danger!

Also like wet fur a little bit, but that goes away after a while.

Why do you ask?

I have that too, but it goes quite quickly. What I find stranger is that one of my suits starts to smell a little bit like tobacco smoke when it's wet although it just smells of wool when it's dry.
