I recently purchased this Dobbs cowboy hat. It seems like a nice quality. Can anyone advise as to age and quality … or how the Beaver Forty designation was used by Dobbs? Thx!

Forty was a model/price designation. A hat marked Forty would retail for $40. I’m not sure when Dobbs went with the Dobbs West branding for westerns. But I would guess late 60s to 70s might be reasonable.
