Won this 50,s tan Dobbs on EBAY this weekend. Very nice hat with box, open crown that needs cleaning. Was listed as 71/2 is really a 71/4.
I paid $71.00 + shipping. Will sell for $71.00 or trade if someone has a 7/12 they would part with.

I agree but I'm going with what the seller told me. I have no reason to think he dated the hat right since he got the size wrong.

A couple of questions:

Are the colors in the photo pretty true to the hat? Looks kind of like a khaki?

Also, is it still open-crowned? Is that bash one that was just put in for the benefit of the photo? In what way does the hat need a cleaning? Dusty? Stains on the inside?

And finally, what is the brim width?

The hat is khaki
The hat is open-crowned, the pic is the same one from ebay the seller bashed it for the auction.
The hat is in pristine condition, no stains, bites, or marks of any kind. Just old and needs a general cleaning. The brim is 2 1/2.
the box is in very nice condition also.
