Thanks, Chippewa is looking pretty good. I want a pair that I can beat up without feeling bad about it. I have several pairs of boots but for the most part they are to nice to subject to really ruff use.

FWIW, my Chippewas are supposedly an E / Wide fit, but on me (and I'm very much a Medium / D), they're bang on right. In fact, the left boot (my larger foot) is going to take a bit of stretching through wear before I can wear a sock of any thickness in it. Was worried at first I'd bought the wrong size!

After some research and actually looking at boots I ordered some Carolina boots. 179 and a 30 coupon making them 149. I'll post when they come but they do seem to be the equal to Chippewa and Chippewa doesn't make an engineer without a steel toe anymore. There may be some old stock somewhere but still, twice the money, nope don't think so.

Where did you see those? I quite like them, and I'm not really up for spending hundreds on Wescos since I really ride in my boots and get scratches and shifter-toe pretty quick.

Rough outs get shifter patina super quick. I rode in my RW IR hawthorne for a while. After two rides they were tattooed.
I found these at:
https://www.alcalas.com/
There are some Chippewa on ebay and amazon called “leather jacket finish” i believe these may be them but it’s hard to tell from the stock photos. I’m sure Alcalas will ship. Size wise they fit as RW.

So no 9.5 or 10s alas.

Anyone have a Brannock-sized 9.5E pair of engineer boots they want to sell before I go drop $800 on a pair of custom sizes Wescos? Thanks!
