Hello friends!

I’m looking at picking up a coveted Buzz Rickson N-1. I love everything about this jacket, minus the pretty inconvenient number of pockets.

does anyone have experience stitching in an internal breast pocket here? Any tips on how to work around the piling? Any concerns about messing with the shape and integrity of the jacket?

An easy way to add pockets to a N-1 deck jacket is to sew in a patch pocket along the inside bottom hem area. Just sew right thru the pile liner; I usually put one on each side for additional storage.
